End-User License Agreement
Shruti for macOS · Last updated 19 July 2026
This agreement is between you and Nathaniel School of Music, Bengaluru, India ("we", "us") — the maker of Shruti. It is written in plain English on purpose: this is what you agree to by installing or using Shruti.
1. Your license
When you buy Shruti you get a one-time, personal license — not a subscription. It lets one person install and use Shruti on up to 3 Macs that you own or primarily use. It covers all version 1 updates. The license is yours; the software's code and design remain ours.
2. The trial
Before buying, you may use the full-featured trial for the stated trial period at no cost. When the trial ends, Shruti asks for a license key; your audio is never interrupted mid-session.
3. What you may not do
Please don't share one license across several people, resell or sublicense your key, or remove the software's license checks. You may not redistribute Shruti itself; sending friends to our download page is always welcome.
4. Refunds
If Shruti doesn't work out, you can request a refund within 30 days of purchase. The details live in our refund policy.
5. Privacy
Shruti processes audio locally on your Mac. It requires no account and does not upload your audio. See the privacy policy for the full picture.
6. No warranty
We test Shruti carefully and stand behind it with direct support, but it is provided "as is", without warranties beyond those that your local law requires and that cannot be excluded. To the extent your law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for your license. Nothing here limits rights that consumer law grants you and that cannot be waived.
7. Ending this license
The license ends if you materially break these terms and don't fix it after we point it out. You can end it any time by uninstalling Shruti. Sections 4–8 survive.
8. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of India, and disputes fall to the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka — without limiting any mandatory consumer protections where you live.
